Washington Felony DUI

Washington’s Felony DUI Law was created in 2007 with an amendment to the Revised Code of Washington.  This law continues to evolve.  Now, an individual can face being charged with Felony DUI if either (a) the person has three or more “prior offenses” (DUI or similar type of charge, or a charge reduced from DUI to a lesser offense) in 10 years, or if (b) in the person’s lifetime they have ever been convicted of a vehicular homicide or vehicular assault with alcohol or drugs involved.  See RCW 46.61

Felony DUI penalties are generally much harsher than gross misdemeanor DUI penalties.  If you have been charged with Felony DUI, or think you may be charged, you need an experienced attorney to counsel you.
